Why TOPCon Bifacial Panels Outperform Standard Modules

Standard monofacial panels only capture light hitting their front surface. Bifacial panels add a second active surface on the back, picking up light reflected off the roof, ground, or surrounding surfaces — a meaningful output gain with no change in footprint.

TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) cell architecture layers on top of that by reducing electron recombination losses at the cell surface, pushing efficiency higher than older PERC designs, especially in low-light and high-temperature conditions.

Combined, TOPCon bifacial modules typically deliver 20–30% higher output than standard panels of the same rated capacity over a system's working life — one of the reasons we've made them our default panel spec across new EPC installations.
